Strawberry Panels!

For some reason I went on a Panel Spree. Panels are kind of a pain in the butt, but you will always get a "card" with more than one player on it.

This 1987 Kraft panel features Robin Yount, whom I like a lot. But let's be honest, the reason I wanted this was Darryl Strawberry. I had the solo card, clipped away by someone else at some point in time.

The back is blank and though I scanned it I'm not sharing it. I hope that you do not feel cheated.

The above was acquired in a TCDB trade and the trader sent me two additional copies, which I sent on for nothing to Strawberry collectors in Canada and The Netherlands.

The above made me look at my Wantlist and I found that I wanted the below, the 1987 Burger King All-Pro panel with Fernando Valenzuela. Well... it turns out that I already had it! But it was all folded up as it was originally issued. D'oh! I kept the Strawberry and will give away the Fernando at some point. As well as the coupon which is lost on me, being a vegetarian. If the coupon could be used for the Impossible Whopper, then fine.

The third panel was also an unknowing duplicate. Also from 1987, Our Own Tea issued somewhat circular, but not quite circular cards and Darryl Strawberry is on the panel with Roger Clemens, who should be in the Hall of Fame. Again, the copy I already owned was an unopened panel, so I kept the Strawberry and will give the Clemens away at some point.

So the moral of the story is check your freaking cards to see what you have before you blindly go off  your wantlist. And, also, get better at cataloging and knowing what you do have.

Thanks for stopping by!
