Less than two outs

One hears it all the time throughout baseball games. "Blah blah blah . . . and/with less than two outs . . . blah blah blah."

No. Just say "there is one out" or there are "no outs"/"nobody out." Hearing "less than two outs" gets under my skin. Am I alone in this? What does that mean? It can mean two things. Just be specific. I understand that the pitcher, the batter, and all the coachs, managers, fielders, and base runners will behave different in situations with zero, one, or even two outs. But just please be specific. Saying "less than two outs" is actually more work than saying "No outs" or "one out".

And how awful are the World Series baseball announcers? The entire postseason experience is mired in having "national" people. MLB could do its sport and its fans a favor by allowing/having the team broadcasters do the games.

That being said, the World Series has been enjoyable so far and I am happy, as of this writing, that there will be at a minimum of six games to decide the winner.

Now.

Some more trade cards came in which is allowing me to get closer to a collecting goal this year of 100 unique Andrew McCutchen cards. This one was number 98! This is a 2021 Topps Update - 1992 Topps Redux which was a 50-card insert set to Topps Update that year. It's a nice looking card.

I plan to get to card 100 by the end of the year but I'm not sure if I'll try to make it something "special" or just get some other ubiquitous insert card. If that "late" product Stadium Club comes out and if he's in there, then that will be one of the two I'll definitely buy.

Thanks for stopping by!
