The last cards from that order

So... I've been totally milking the showing off of the cards I got in that April/May order. It's already now the second week of June. So I think the plan is then to finish finally showing off the cards.

First up is a full box bottom panel for Darrell Evans, Tony Gwynn, John Kruk, and Marvell Wynne. It's a Padress hot box bottom! The Kruk card had a bump on that bottom right corner if you're looking at the front, but it's in the white part of the border.

The Kruk card here was recently "reprised" perhaps by some "artist" called Andy Friedman. He's an atrocious artist and I loathe Topps for continuing to collaborate with him. Look it up, it's wretched (as are his other cards).

The second is a Score box bottom featuring Ricky Henderson, Darryl Strawberry, Andre Dawson and a factoid card about County Stadium. Pretty cool, but I'd prefer a player card there if I'm being honest.

Which box bottom do you like better?

The last card in that order was another major desire for me. I might even call it a white whale because I wanted it really badly, but it's my no means an expensive card. Just elusive. Which fits in with the definition of white whale, "an objective that is relentlessly or obsessively pursued but difficult to achieve."

This is a 2014 Topps 1989 Topps Die Cut Minis. I like the 1989 design here and I totally, completely adore the photograph. I quite like the regular, original 1989 Topps Strawberry too, but this is a super nice card. Don't you think?

Just delicious.

How's your team doing this year? Not having a team means I don't have much to say about that, but I'm curious who you're for (if I don't know you).

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Well being a Topps homer, of course I'm going to say I like the Topps Box Bottom!

    1. Me too. I'm ok with the score, but the photos are, or the printing process is, too dark.

  2. The Score box bottoms are definitely tougher to come across than the Topps ones so I'm more impressed by that one.

    1. Oh! I didn't know that. It was only about $3 or so, too.
