A TCDB trade with The Card Chop

I recently read Steve's blog The Card Chop and he lamented (not really the right word, forgive me) a trade that netted him a 1983 Topps Runs Batted In leaders card depicting Hal McRae, Dale Murphy, and Al Oliver. It was a little off center, which is something we can do nothing about when we enter into trades via TCDB, where photographs of the actual cards are not the norm. Well, that led me to go and look at my set, and it turned out that my copy of the card looked, I think, decent.

A little bowed, from the box the cards are in but well-centered. So I offered it to him and we were able to set up a trade via TCDB whereby we can exchange the same card. And it is a nice PWE trade.

Below is the card I got so swiftly that I am simply astonished.

It is already in its happy place between cards 702 and 704.

Thank you for the easy trade, Steve!
Thanks for stopping by.

  2. I've always found off-centered cards to be fascinating.

    1. I don't mind them. For older cards (say 1992 and earlier) I almost expect it. But then there are some cards I'd prefer to be as close to centered as possible.
