$1

Dale Murphy has two rookie cards in back-to-back years. I suppose his true rookie would be the 1977 Topps card. While the 1978 card with Bo Diaz, Lance Parrish, and Ernie Whitt is a bit weird, as Murphy is a non-rookie but on the four-player Rookie card.

I suppose the 1977 is the more desirable? Even though the 1978 has, maybe, more recognizable names, in a way? Ish? Kevin Pasley, sorry to say, brings this card down a notch.

Well, I got the 1977 Topps card in an eBay live show for $1. Yup. $1. One buck.

Then how did I get this card below for a single US dollar? I don't know, but I'm not complaining. I've left the card as it was in the scan in that I left a little border around it. It's a little wonky/wobbly along the top. I do this now for the vintage cards whereas modern cards I do digitally trim very tight, often losing a bit of the surrogate card in the process.

I'd like to get the 1978 card, too. I liked Bo Diaz more than Murphy when I was growing up.

Thanks for stopping by!
