Twins!

It was sometime last year that I learned about a 1954 Topps card that featured twin brothers Ed and John O'Brien who played shortstop and second base for the Pittsburgh Pirates. They were the first twin brother teammates ever to play on the field at the same time. This is amazing and awesome. As I'm a twin, I felt compelled to acquire it.

And I love it. I'm not totally mad for 1954 Topps. In fact, the first Topps set I think I really like is actually 1957. I think I just lost six of my seven readers, and the seventh died of a heart attack.

They freaking have a line for each brother in the stats section. They have the same height and the same weight, in addition, obviously to the same other stuff.

I'm not exactly sure how the play developed in the third "Inside Baseball" panel below.

Have you recently learned about a card that was kind of cool? Have you gotten it yet? What are you waiting for?

Thanks for stopping by!
