Better late than never?

At least the second 2025 set that I am aware of by Topps came out in 2026. Stadium Club first, and then more recently, basically halfway through the year, we get 2025 Topps Chrome Platinum anniversary. This set hearkens back to 1955. Platinum anniversary is 70 years. 

The cards are excessive, but what else is knew with Topps. The parallels and inserts just simply fail to really connect with their originals. But, I did go ahead and buy the Strawberry card. The base card is the most attractive; the parallels are simply ridiculous.

I feel like there is a 420 joke that can be made here?

There are some nice retired player cards in the set. They appear scattered throughout, but then dominate the 401-500 range. With one exception! Why did Tyler O'Neill squeeze into 414? Here are a few cards I liked seeing:

Brett looks like a big goober. 

I don't really care about Gossage, but his uniform is a reminder that sometimes innovation is a bad idea.

Jose Cruz! This is great. 

And it's nice to see the California Angels logo where they deny the existence of any other team in the state.
