X doesn't mark the spot

Behold! I present to you today two examples of the 2022 Topps Allen & Ginter X! No one knows what X means, do they?

The above is the "mini" version and the below is the regular card-size card.

And why do I keep buying cards I don't like (A & G in general as you by now must know)? I guess I'm a numbers/compiler kind of dude.

I meant to post this on Monday but didn't....

What do you make of the recent "Rivalry" weekend? It doesn't move my needle very much. If there wasn't Interleague every frickin' day, it might mean more. And going simply based off of geography is pretty lame. And I wish it was also AL rivals versus AL rivals, and NL versus NL. I know that's impossible in a 15 team league, but there are opportunities each year to highlight a singular AL-NL rival. I'm sorry but the Red Sox and Braves aren't rivals. The Twins and Brewers are hardly rivals. Rockies and Diamondbacks? Marlins and Rays? Expansion rivals? Others, like Mariners and Padres, simply an invention because the Padres are frankly their own rival; their own worst enemy.

Thanks for stopping by.
