As you may have surmised, I have been collecting Andrew McCutchen cards for the last year or so. Mostly it started because I really like him as a player and have since the early 2010s. Earlier this year I got my first autographed card for him and I love it, but it's graded and it's one of the graded cards I have that I just simply can't, for some stupid reason, break out. When I was shopping for it, I was determined not to buy an autograph on a sticker that was then stuck on to the card. I wanted on card.
The other day I was browsing around and saw another on card autograph on eBay that had relatively little action and a low-ish bid. So I threw in a bid and went to sleep. I didn't think I'd win. But I did, and at the time it was for the lowest the ending price. It may still be the lowest, but I'm not checking.
This is the Topps Chrome Black. It seems to be a kind of a high end product? maybe? It came in it's one one-touch case with a sticker on it but the plastic was scratched and I wanted to touch the card. So, whether that was a good decision or not, I don't much care: I broke it out.
Sunday I went to the Guardians and Phillies game. My first came of 2026. I was thrilled to watch Kwan and Ramirez play again (last saw them in Milwaukee in 2024). Kwan went three for three and knocked in the first run of the game.
Here are a few pictures.

By and large, mobile phone cameras suck. Digital cameras, too, for that matter. They look wonderful on your little effing screen. However, Zoom in, and it looks like pixelated ass. For the first time in forever I didn't have a beer at the game which was weird, but it was barely 60 degrees and raw after several days of rain.
Thanks for stopping by!
