Sadly, this is the last week of the regular baseball season in which, on most days, there are 15 games from which to choose. As you know, I follow no team. An advantage to this is I can watch and usually enjoy any game I chose and invest my time to the simple pleasure of watching the game. I care more about some teams and some players than others. For example, I have tried to watch every at bat that I could this year of Andrew McCutchen. I try, also, to listen to the radio call of as many Cleveland Guardians games as I can. I adore Tom Hamilton. I think he calls the best game in today's sport.
The next two cards came via OneMillionCubs on eBay Live. Beau was doing some vintage cards, there were few "in the room" and I landed these for .99 cents each. All day and all night I would do this.
Today is the first day of fall, aka Autumn. It signals a change in the weather. A change in the color of the leaves. Usually by August the green leaves here are a tired color under the heat and humidity of the mid-Atlantic. We're already seeing yellows and a smattering of reds. Day by Day, more sky appears, slightly, through tree branches.
But I do not think you are here to read me wax poetic about the turning of the leaves and the donning of sweaters; the losing of light, the gaining of night. No, let's look at some cards.
This George Brett camera short while back through the Sunday giveaway on BlueSky. I don't think I showed it off already, but if I did I doubt anyone will mind seeing it again.
