Getting back to it

I'm going to try to start this thing back up; though I couldn't reactivate my former blog name Baseball Every Night. So I uncreatively came up with Baseball Cards Fan. So, I'll make this brief and just post here a couple of the more influential cards that got me into baseball card collecting back in the 1980s.

Darryl Strawberry! These two 1987 Topps cards were from the peak of my first Strawberry-mania card collecting phase. They appeared in my then PC (though I don't really recall if we called them PCs back then) and also in the set that I built. I most likely also hoarded other copies and can imagine that I had a 9-pocket page filled with them. I base this on the fact that I had about twenty-five 1989 Topps Andre Dawson All-Star cards.

When I got back into baseball cards around 2015 or maybe 2016, I reclaimed my cards from my parents house and enjoyed going through the cards I had all but forgotten about a quarter of a century before. I bought a few unopened boxes of 1987 Topps to make a fresh set as I have no idea what happened to the sets I built back then. Didn't have the stomach or the daring to chew the gum that came out of those packs.

So hopefully this will be a nice place to come to see cards. Thanks for stopping by.
